5.00 - ”A picturesque villa”
We visited Crete and stayed at Nuez Villas for a week in August. The villa was perfect for two couples. Before booking the manager could not have been more helpful and answered all questions we had incredibly quickly. The booking and payment process was really easy. The day we arrived Angelina had stocked the fridge and cupboards with food and drink and provided us with an incredibly generous welcome package. We were even treated to see of her mothers home made cheese pies and raki - both local delicacies. When we got her we could not believe how beautiful the villa was. It blends naturally into the Cretan hillside with its stone facade and natural colours. The views into the harbour and beach over the infinity pool are stunning. There is a beautiful garden around the villa with shrubs and local flowers. The decor is super stylish and practical. The kitchen appliances are brand new and worked perfectly along with the (much needed) air conditioning. The villa is a good place to watch both sunrise and sunset, and in between there are spaces to relax in the sun or the shade. The pool is gorgeous and there a couple of beds on the water to catch the sunshine in style. The beds are comfy and the linens and towels were changed twice whilst we were here. You can chose more frequent if you like. Angelina also arranged for breakfast to be catered for us the first morning and for both a yoga instructor and masseur to visit the villa. We would highly recommend both of them. The villa is a few minutes walk into the local town where there is a nice choice of restaurants, a mini market and a couple of bars. From here you can complete a short swim to a local island to see some historic ruins if you like. I can not recommend this villa enough - it is simply stunning.
