The view from the property, at any angle, is phenomenal. The grounds are gorgeous. It truly is an oasis. Just a short walk (100 yards) to a beautiful little cove and half a mile to a private beach with a little restaurant where you can swim in the Aegean Sea. The pool is clean and pristine. Aside from those things close enough to walk to, the villa itself is extremely remote. You must rent a car. It’s extremely difficult for cabs to find. We used ‘Welcome transportation’ and each time we had issues. There isn’t any service for gps in the area and that made it difficult. Each cab ride into Chania, the closest town, was 34€. There isn’t a hot tub even though it is listed. What the property has is a jacuzzi tub in the master bedrooms bathroom. The jets do work though and I heard it was quite nice. We had a lot of electrical issues. This caused us to be without ac and WiFi. If you are coming I strongly recommend that you rent a portable WiFi from the airport upon arrival. Had we known that we wouldn’t have had so many issues. (Ac didn’t work, bulbs were blowing, breakers were flipping, no kitchen utensils, all of the windows wouldn’t open which we needed since the ac wouldn’t work) we were unable to contact the host due to no electricity which resulted in no WiFi. The shower pod in one of the bathrooms is not fully functional. The drain is painfully slow, which results in standing in ankle deep water. The shower wand doesn’t work, the shower jets don’t work either. The kitchen is NOT fully fitted. There is a refrigerator. There is a coffee pot. There isn’t an espresso machine, nor are there any pans or any cooking utensils. We had one pot and one roasting pan. When we got there a handy man was trying to fix the ac units because the power had been out (our greeter realized this when she arrived) and he was putting a grill together. There isn’t any charcoal though nor are there any grilling utensils. The house photos are staged. There are no comforters on the beds, the white couch in the master bedroom has been replaced with a purple futon. The lamps didn’t have shades nor were there enough batteries to go in each remote. Luckily we didn’t have consistent power so this was a moot point. If you’re looking for a remote place to be, away from town and (Website hidden by Airbnb) enjoy the views and sunrises and sunsets then this place is for you. Those things are incredible. But that is where it ends
